Description
clutch Stage6 Sport Pro 107mm
The Stage6 Sport Pro is a scooter clutch for all models with a 107mm clutch. It fits Minarelli, Piaggio, Peugeot, Honda, Kymco, Sym and 4-stroke scooters made in China (GY6 50cc).
ATTENTION: Minarelli (Aprilia, Yamaha, MBK, ...) engines have different clutches since 1998. Please check whether your original clutch has 2 jaws (d = 105mm) or 3 jaws (d = 107mm). You can also measure the inside diameter of the clutch bell, which should be 107 mm. If the diameter is 105 mm, you can easily convert to a 107 mm clutch by installing a 107 mm clutch bell!
Please note:
The supplied guiding seat for the contra spring should only be used for Minarelli engines (Aerox/Malaguti/China 2T). This is not necessary for Peugeot, Piaggio and GY6 4-stroke engines.
What are the benefits of a tuning clutch?
The three-jaw clutch can be adjusted using clutch springs in different strengths and two detent points. In contrast to the original clutch, you can change the point where the clutch engages and make it fit your individual setup, i.e. the engine engages later. A reinforced clutch ring and forged and bolted pins support the reinforced clutch linings. Conventional clutches only have riveted pins, which are prone to failure.
The Stage6 SportPRO is an inexpensive alternative to the well-known sports clutches. For very powerful engines, we recommend using the Stage6 Torque Control.

Stage6 Sport Pro
The Sport Pro series from Stage6 consists of various CVT components. The variator, clutch, V-belt and complete kit are designed for sport and racing setups.
Stage6 has revised shapes and materials to improve the performance of the CVT compared to the original and to adapt it to the performance increase after installing a sport cylinder.
Scooter clutch
The clutch is essential for the smooth operation of the scooter's automatic CVT. It ensures that the engine power is transmitted to the rear wheel in a continuous and controlled manner.
How Does a scooter clutch work?
The clutch and clutch bell of the centrifugal clutch on scooters form a single unit. The clutch bell is attached to the input shaft of the engine. When the engine reaches a certain speed, the clutch shoes with linings are pulled outward by centrifugal force. Clutch and bell come into contact, they engage so power can be transmitted from the engine to the rear wheel.
How to adjust a Scooter clutch?
Scooters are centrifugal clutches, with increasing RPMs the centrifugal force leads to clutch engagement. The clutch springs play an important role in this process as they affect the engine speed at which the clutch engages, i.e. makes contact with the bell.
The clutch engages at a lower engine speed with soft springs, while hard springs delay clutch engagement. It is important to find the optimum compromise in terms of setup and intended use.
More precise settings can be done with an adjustable clutch, where the tension of the clutch springs can be adjusted.
