While the MBK Booster 2-stroke scooters have remained very popular since their introdiction in the 1990s, especially in France, the MBK Booster X 4-stroke remained rather unknown. In the 2000s, emissions standards became increasingly strict and manufacturers gradually turned to four-stroke engines. This led to the launch of the Booster X in 2007 - a compact scooter that was also suitable for taller riders, with an original design and a 50cc 4T engine.
It was produced until 2017 before being discontinued in favour of other models with a more classic design.
