MBK Booster Next Generation
The French manufacturer MBK was bought by Yamaha . The two brands sell various identical models, including Yamaha BWs / MBK Booster. The BW's is also sold in many countries under the model name Zuma.
MBK Next Generation: History
The MBK Booster or Yamaha BW's were introduced in the late 1980s, but quickly faced competition from Piaggio and Peugeot, who also offered street-oriented 50cc scooters for everyday use. Yamaha and MBK were on the bandwagon and released two new BW's / Booster models in 1995:
- Yamaha BW's Spy (12-inch wheels)
- MBK Booster Rocket (12-inch wheels)
- MBK Booster / Yamaha BW's Next Generation (10-inch wheels)
The Next Generation scooter is a completely redesigned BWs / Booster version featuring a modern design that remains appealing even today. The scooters underwent significant improvements, including a larger helmet compartment capable of accommodating a jet helmet, as well as a revamped chassis, making them more attractive and practical for everyday use.
The Booster Next Generation scooters were produced until 2003 and underwent a facelift in 1999 with a new front that differed from the Rocket / Spy and with a new, less rounded headlight.
