Digital speed limiter module with magnet

Digital overspeed limiter with magnetic double-check and automatic reactivation.

Functions:

At the heart of the limiter is a powerful microprocessor which constantly calculates and evaluates the current speed and rpm.

Speed determination:

The limiter determines the speed via the wheel sensor supplied together with a small self-adhesive magnet for the rim.

RPM determination:

The RPM is calculated directly via the pickup cable of the CDI ignition at each piston revolution.

Operating modes:

• KMH mode: storage of an upper speed limit.
• RPM mode: Setting a maximum speed.
• Combi mode: Works simultaneously with RPM and speed limit.

Programming and control:

Programming the maximum speed/maximum speed is extremely simple. Simply press the internal program button to save the current speed or rpm as the upper limit, depending on the operating mode.

Dimensions:

The housing is very compact. The dimensions are 45x45x18mm + mounting eyelet. The length of the connection cable is 45-50cm, the sensor cable for deactivation is approx. 100cm long. The dimensions of the wheel sensor are only approx. 28x19mm, the cable length is approx. 50cm.

Installation:

The 4 cables of the module must be connected for installation. You need +12V (switched via the ignition lock), brake signal, pickup signal and ground/minus. The wheel sensor and the wheel magnet must be attached to the front or rear wheel of the scooter.

Compatibility:

The module works with almost all 2T carburetor engines, such as Minarelli replicas (1E40QMB) like CPI and Keeway. However, it is not compatible with 4-stroke engines, direct injection engines, Morini engines and engines with double pick-up (e.g. Aprilia SR50 with brown and white cables on the CDI).
