Reed Valve "V Force 3" Kawasaki KX 85

Description
VForce 3 valve box Kawasaki KX 85
Advantages of the V Force 3
The VForce 3 has a particular architecture in the shape of a V in the middle. This architecture allows to double the number of carbon blades (4 instead of 2). This allows a better filling of the cylinder, considerably improving the response to the opening of the throttle and the performance at low rpm.
A mustin 2-stroke engine tuning, it is one of the best ways tooptimize the engine behavior in order to obtain a power gain at all rpm if tuned with other parts or a specific tuning.
How to fit the VForce 3 valves?
Initially, the V-Force valves are specific to each motocross model and can be installed without any modification in place of the original.
This version for Kawasaki KX85 can also be mounted on 50cc engines under condition:
- Minarelli Horizontal: lightly mill the crankcase
- AM6 / Derbi: add a shim under the valve box
Note: The valve box contains a venturi for carburetors with diameter 28 to 34mm.
V-FORCE 3 valve
The V-Force reed valve stands out as a groundbreaking advancement in the world of two-stroke engines. Initially designed for motocross, it subsequently gained prominence across diverse disciplines and for a variety of vehicle models.
ADVANTAGES VFORCE 3 reed valve
The VForce 3 from Moto Tassinari features a unique architecture with a V-shape in the middle. This special design allows for using twice as many reeds (4 instead of 2), resulting in improved cylinder filling. This in turn improves throttle response and performance at low RPMs.
In 2-stroke tuning, a reed valve upgrade is often one of the most effective ways of optimizing engine performance and achieving a power boost across the entire RPM range.
There is now an upgraded version the V-Force 3, known as the V-Force 4, which we also carry in our shop.
Reed valves for scooter, motorcycle and moped
The reed valve is an integral part of the intake system. It usually sits under the intake manifold.
How does a reed valve work?
The reed valve is usually V-shaped and is equpped with two blades. When the reed valve is opened, mixture will flow; when the reed valve is closed, the flow is significantly reduced. The flow is controlled by the opening of the carburetor slide, which controls the amount of mixture and affects RPM.
What kind of reed valve?
The type and shape of the reed valve can affect engine performance. Common types include the V-Force reed valve in a W-shape with 4 reed petals, and oversize versions with more volume than the original reed valves.
Adjusting the reed valve
You can improve engine output by using petals in different thicknesses, or by using a stuffer or a reed valve spacer. You can influence the mixture flow, which can affect the overall performance of the engine.
Note: When installing also change the intake gasket!
