Stage6 R/T high-end crankshaft Piaggio
Stage6 R/T crankshaft for 50cc scooters with Piaggio engine in flow-optimized design. Fits many 50cc scooter models such as Piaggio Zip, Typhoon, Nrg, Gilera Runner, Stalker, Vespa 50 2T or Aprilia SR 50 (Piaggio engine).
Stage6 R/T tuning crankshaft
Meticulously balanced high-end racing full-circle crankshaft with light alloy inserts, which can be used with cylinders with 90mm connecting rods with 44mm stroke.
The tuning crankshaft features precision manufacturing and adherence to exacting tolerances. The forged, CNC-machined connecting rod is extremely resistant and ensures maximum strength when used in racing engines, at the same time its design optimizes flow dynamics for enhanced performance.
The very precise balancing via lightweight metal inserts mitigates strong vibrations and ensures smooth running. The top-of-the-line crankshaft comes with a top quality small end bearing.
Fitting the Stage6 R/T crankshaft Piaggio
The Stage6 R/T crankshaft was developed as the perfect complement to the Stage6 R/T Big Bore 95cc cylinder, but can of course also be used with other racing cylinders with 90mm connecting rod length, such as the 2Fast 86cc cylinder (90mm connecting rod) or the Malossi Big Bore 86cc and Polini Big Evo 94cc cylinders, in this case you'll have to use a 5mm cylinder spacer and a new small end bearing.
The Stage6 Piaggio crankshaft has wider crank webs than the original model. It is therefore necessary to machine the crankcase. The final dimensions of the crankcase after machining should be 76.8 mm (+ 0.2 mm).
Please note: The variator side stump is smooth and has a larger diameter than classic crankshafts (here 16 mm). You must therefore use the Stage6 R/T Piaggio variator and also the 16 mm washer, the 16 mm sleeve and the 16 mm ramp plate.

How to change a crankshaft?
The crankshaft is one of the main components of the engine and is responsible for the smooth operation of motorcycle, scooter and moped, whether with two-stroke or four-stroke engine. The longevity of the engine depends not only on the proper condition of the crankshaft, but also on the fact that it is properly mounted.

How can I tell if my crankshaft is Damaged?
A broken crankshaft causes metallic noises, unusual vibrations, leaking oil seals and drastically reduces the performance of the two-wheeler. In any case, the vehicle must be stopped immediately to prevent the damage from getting worse.
Please note that whenever the crankshaft is changed and serviced, you'll have to install new crankshaft bearings.

It is really important to combine parts that belong to the same tuning level, this is especially true for cylinders, crankshafts and exhausts.
High End Racing products are exclusively designed for racing and should only be handled by tuning pros with the appropriate technical know-how. High-end racing parts often require modifications or machining of certain elements to accommodate the often larger components (larger crank webs, larger intake, etc.). Whether you stick with 50cc or increase the displacement, high-end racing parts offer much higher performance than the original parts and are the most powerful tuning parts.
Note: To ensure the reliability of the engine, it is important that the parts are compatible and that you do regular maintenance on your two-wheeler.
