Description
output sprocket am6 v2 420 - green
Sprockets play a decisive role in the power transmission of a two-wheeler. Not only are they reliable spare parts, they are also ideal for setting the gear ratio, which is crucial for acceleration, overall performance and top speed.
In the case of colored sprockets, of course, it's not just about pure functionality, you can also add a touch of color to your AM6 moped. The wear-resistant paint ensures that these sprockets are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also fully functional and of high quality.
Pro tip: When replacing the sprocket, we recommend replacing the chain and rear sprocket at the same time to ensure optimum performance and extend the service life of all parts. Also make sure to clean and lubricate these parts regularly to prevent rust and premature wear.
ATTENTION: There are two different versions of AM6 motor gearboxes. Generation V1 is a solid shaft with a 6mm thread on the pinion side, generation V2 is a hollow shaft with an 8mm thread on the pinion side. Take a look at the pinion shaft: Small hole on generation 1, large hole on generation 2.

FunCtion of front procket
The front sprocket of a motorcycle is an essential part of the chain drive. It is attached directly to the output of the gearbox and is connected to the rear sprocket via a chain.
How can I tell if the sprocket is worn?
A worn or damaged sprocket may show signs such as metallic rattling noises, worn teeth, a loose chain, or difficulty shifting gears.
smaller or larger front sprocket ?
- Smaller front sprocket → improved acceleration
- Larger front sprocket → higher top speed
You also have to consider the gear ratio between rear chainring and front sprocket. The calculation is: number of teeth of rear sprocket / number of teeth of front spocket. A low ratio increases speed, while a high ratio improves acceleration.
To ensure optimal life, it is important that you do not neglect chain care, we recommend a special chain brush.
