Stage6 streetrace 77cc AM6

Stage6 Cylinder Kit 77cc Streetrace Cast Iron Minarelli AM6, the popular cast iron tuning cylinder by Stage6. In addition to traditional scooter tuning, Stage6 is mostly know for their high-quality tuning parts for modern scooters with CVT but a while ago decided to branch out into making parts for mopeds with gearbox (Supermotard etc.). First they launched a 50cc line, now they added two kits with 77cc and 88cc, since we all know: There is no replacement for displacement!

The kit includes:

  • 77cc grey cast iron cylinder, d=50mm, 5 transfer ports and simple exhaust (28mm)
  • 2-ring piston, 50mm
  • One-piece high-compression cylinder head, aluminium
  • Gaskets (head and base) and hardware

Perfect compromise between performance and reliability

The cylinder performance is pretty impressive on all counts – take-off and acceleration are great and due to increased displacement top speed and the overall output are much improved. The cast iron cylinder is extremely reliable and durable, so it is definitely suitable for intensive use.

Another big pro of this cylinder - assembly is very simple, you won't have to bother with milling the crankcase.

Setup recommendations

And as always when it comes to tuning cylinders, you should adjust the entire setup; we recommend a 21 mm PWK carburetor, a  Vforce3 reed valve, a racing exhaust like the Stage6 Streetrace low-mount, a reinforced clutch, a reinforced crankshaft with standard stroke and for all real tuning freaks maybe even an internal rotor ignition like the MVT Digital Direct.

Our tip for running in: the new cylinder should be run in for 300km, i.e. do not go to full throttle. We recommend a 3% two-stroke mixture (1:33) to ensure prolonged engine life.

Note: The cylinder looks unobtrusive and similar to the stock part. Stage6 has deliberately decided not to display the brand name on the cylinder, instead of a logo they stamped "49ccm" on it. Don't panic, it is a 77cc cylinder and may therefore be NOT STREET-LEGAL (in various countries).

As the name suggests, the Streetrace series was developed for sporty street use. The Stage6 series includes cylinders and exhausts that deliver relatively high performance, but still function reliably in everyday use.

The Stage6 Streetrace series feature the optimum balance between performance and durability to offer scooter and supermoto riders a high level of riding enjoyment even in everyday use.

How to Install a cylinder on a scooter, motorcycle or moped

The cylinder or cylinder kit is the heart of the engine on scooters, motorcycles and mopeds. It consists of a cylinder, a piston with piston ring(s), a cylinder head and gaskets needed for installation.

The service life of a cylinder depends on whether it has been fitted correctly.

Le cylindre 77stage 6 est un très bon cylindre pour commencer il marche lève en 1-2-3 en forcent un peu Vmax 122 km/h malheureusement serrer au bout de 9000km à cause d’un mauvais mélange

Es ce que un carbu type pwk en 24 mm est bien sur ce cylindre ? Sinon quel diamètre conseillez ?

Maxiscoot : Oui vous pouvez tout à fait utiliser un carburateur 24mm avec ce cylindre. Le minimum conseillé est un 21mm.

Ce kit a des perf truc de fou la jupe du piston arriver fissurer donc recouper aussitôt je l’es essayer un monstre de couple l’embrayage patine a mort leve en 1 2 3 voir plus mais j’ai pas oser plus le pousser en rodage je le conseille fortement ! Surprenant ⚡️

Je roule ce cylindre presque tout les jours , 10 km de rodage le temps du réglage carbu ,et depuis en fond de 6 tout le temps rupteur et tout ce qu’on peux faire pour casser un cylindre et j’ai jamais réussi . Maintenant environ 4000 km je recommande fortement il marche très très bien et très solide !

Sick cylinder, great quality and very easy to set up.
although on my generic trigger x, i had to mill the crank case since the piston could not fit and would go all the way down.
big setback for my project but when the milling was done and everything was put together, the thing started up first kick, no problems.
atm i am still running in the cylinder and havent fully adjusted the carb yet, but just the first 20 km have been sick, and i have got the feeling of the amazing power output and low end torque this cylinder can produce.

Cylindre reçu jeudi, trace de rouille sur la chemise, défaut d'usine sur la culasse n'empêche pas l'étanchéité, et quelques accro sur le plan joint, A croire qu'il a déjà servi..
Mis à part cela ça tourne très rond, a voir après rodage car vu comment ça était usiné je préfère roder 300km~ minimum ^^ Un peu déçu pour du Stage 6..

- Joint d'embase non aligné au moteur (petit détail)
- déformation de la culasse ce qui rend le logement du joint impossible
- finition médiocre (à conserver avec le renvoi d'angle)
- joint torique qui deborde lors du serrage culasse (pourtant serré au couple)
- achat d'une autre culasse sur un autre VPC (car elle se vend pas indépendamment) , tentative de prise de rapport volumetrique : piston tape dans la culasse avec le joint d'embase fournis.
- et apparaige cylindre/piston avoisinant les 0,05mm (trop serré pour du traitement minachrome "fonte")
- reçu avec des traces de rouille

Ça fait beaucoup...
