Description
Stage6 CVT Sport Pro Minarelli, top quality CVT for improved shifting and better transmission of power.
This variator was designed for use with 50cc and 70cc lightly tuned / sports cylinders. It will bring about improved and smoother gearing and better acceleration. Optimized for use with Stage6 ProReplica exhaust and Sport Pro / Streetrace cylinder, but can be used with similar 50cc - 70cc engines.
The roller tracks and the back of the variator are hard coated to make them highly wear-resistant. The running surface is uncoated. Although this reduces the running surface's durability, the increased friction results in better performance, so Stage6, always a sucker for maximum performance, opted for power over life expectancy. But there's more - as there is no coating to flake off (as happens with chrome-plated surfaces), premature wear or breaking of the belt is avoided.
The kit includes a Stage6 CVT Sport Pro with sleeve and ramp plate, 2 shims, a torque spring and a set of roller weights.
torque spring: medium
roller weights: 16x13mm – 5g
Stage6 Sport Pro
The Sport Pro series from Stage6 consists of various CVT components. The variator, clutch, V-belt and complete kit are designed for sport and racing setups.
Stage6 has revised shapes and materials to improve the performance of the CVT compared to the original and to adapt it to the performance increase after installing a sport cylinder.
scooter CVT
Modern scooters are equipped with a continuously variable transmission, the so-called CVT, also called variator.
CVT Parts:
- Front pulley, movable. It contains the variator weights and has a special shape with an inclined surface to allow the V-belt to move freely up and down.
- Ramp plate: Holds the weights in place.
- Variator sleeve: Serves as a bearing for the variator, which moves axially back and forth, i.e., opens and closes.
- CVT roller weights: Adjustment weights that play a critical role in function and performance.
original, Sport and Oversize CVTs
- Original: Original or OEM quality CVTs are equipped with a restrictor to limit the speed to 45km/h. There are riders who remove the restrictor to derestrict their scooter and unleash the full performance without restrictions.
- Sport: Sport CVTs are lighter than the original and are characterized by special angles and a special coating, which increases the top speed, but especially acceleration.
- Oversize: Based on the same principle as the Sport CVT, but has larger dimensions. With an oversize / overrange vario, the performance of the scooter can be increased even further.
You should also always replace the V-belt when replacing the CVT or go for a complete CVT kit.
