When stuffing the silencer, make sure that the wool is not wrapped too tightly around the perforated tube in the silencer, but sits loosely so that the insulating properties can be used optimally.
If a replacement of the packing wool is not good enough - check our huge selection of 2-stroke silencers.
Silencer packing is packed into the muffler to reduce noise emissions. There are basically two types of packing material: rock wool and glass wool. Their insulating properties play an essential role in keeping the noise level at the legally required level to avoid fines.
When is it necessary to replace the silencer packing?
Over time and with heavy use, silencer packing can wear out and lose its effectiveness. If you notice that the exhaust is getting louder and louder, it's time to replace the packing.
