MVT ignition plate prem26 and dd27 yamaha dt 50
Replacement base plate for MVT Digital Direct DD27 ignition for Yamaha DT50 / RD50 / TY50 DT and RD80, as well as MVT Premium PREM26 ignition for Yamaha DT50 / RD50 / TY50 DT / RD80 models from 1986 onwards.
The CNC aluminum plate replaces the original Digital Direct / Premium adapter plate, so you do not need to replace the complete ignition.
MVT Digital Direct
The MVT Digital Direct ignition is the brand's top model, with extreme performance, agile engine and optimum response at all engine speeds thanks to a lightweight internal rotor and CDI with variable ignition timing. Bonus: the ignition has a 12V output for lights / on-board electronics!
The DD internal rotor ignition has a digital CDI with variable ignition timing adjustment, i.e. the ignition timing adapts to the engine speed and is therefore ideally suited for tuned engines. In this way, you always get the best ratio between torque and maximum power, regardless of RPM.

MVT Premium
The MVT Premium ignition is the mid-range model among the MVT ignitions - a very powerful internal rotor ignition that ensures improved RPM increase.
The biggest difference to the Digital Direct ignition is the CDI. With the Premium, the ignition timing is fixed, with the DD series it is variable. If you want to maximize the engine's power range, you should therefore opt for the Digital Direct internal rotor ignition.
