MVT SC cylinder G2B Peugeot 103

Based on their vast racing experience, the MVT SC team has developed a high-performance 50cc cylinder for Peugeot RCX/SPX mopeds, which is designed for use with the MVT SC G2B crankcase.

Features MVT SC Open G2B 50cc cylinder:

  • High-quality material: Nikasil-coated aluminum cylinder
  • Optimized design: 8 transfer ports, with double intake ports for more pressure and speed.
  • Improved exhaust: Exhaust with trapezoidal boost ports for optimized exhaust.
  • Precision piston: 39.95 mm diameter with 12 mm piston pin and 1 mm thick, hard chrome-plated steel ring.
  • High-compression cylinder head: Conical aluminium cylinder head, specially developed to maximize performance.
  • Viton seals: Aluminum gasket and Viton O-rings for perfect sealing.

Pro tip: The cylinder kit is designed for use with the G2B MVT SC crankcase for Peugeot 103 RCX / SPX  and the MVT G2B moped crankshaft with 39.7mm stroke and 85mm connecting rod.

    How to Install a cylinder on a scooter, motorcycle or moped

    The cylinder or cylinder kit is the heart of the engine on scooters, motorcycles and mopeds. It consists of a cylinder, a piston with piston ring(s), a cylinder head and gaskets needed for installation.

    The service life of a cylinder depends on whether it has been fitted correctly.

    Aluminium cylinders

    Aluminium cylinders are more powerful than cast iron cylinders, but require more regular maintenance and must be combined with different components such as a reinforced crankshaft and a larger carburetor.

    How to run in an aluminium cylinder?

    Aluminium cylinders should be run in for about 200 kilometers , and you should use a fully synthetic engine oil.

    Note: To ensure optimum performance and reliability, it is advisable to measure the squish clearance. Just have a look at our tutorial How to adjust squish clearance.
