Athena Racing Alu cylinder 70cc
Athena, one of the most prestigious brands for two-wheelers, has an extensive range of scooter parts. This is a complete Cylinder Kit Athena Racing 70cc with 10mm piston pin for Minarelli vertical (eg Yamaha BW's / Slider or MBK Booster / Stunt).
Athena Racing 70cc cylinder kit:
- Aluminium cylinder with 5 transfer ports and oval exhaust with boost ports
- Racing piston 47,6mm, 1 piston ring, 10mm piston pin
- Cylinder head, high compression
- Gasket set (cylinder base paper, cylinder head, exhaust and reed valve)

- Compression ratio: 13,8:1

Assembly Design Athena Racing cylinder
The very powerful Athena racing cylinder for Minarelli vertical is not mounted via conventional stud bolts, but via an external mounting system. The cylinder and the cylinder head are fixed individually with 4 bolts each.
Since the actual cylinder is thus no longer subject to the restrictions normally arising from regular studs, ambitious tuners can adjust and optimize both transfer porst and exhaust port here.
Performance Athena 70cc Racing Zylinder
The performance of the new Athena Racing 70cc is very convincing, an increase of 3 to 4 hp compared to the previous Racing version is easily possible.
For even more power, but above all for optimum cooling, we recommend the use of a Big Valve MXS Racing HighFlow intake system and a PWK carburator with a minimum diameter of 21 mm.
Note, we recommend to use it with a reinforced crankshaft for 10mm piston pin such as the Stage6 HPC.

Aluminium cylinders
Aluminium cylinders are more powerful than cast iron cylinders, but require more regular maintenance and must be combined with different components such as a reinforced crankshaft and a larger carburetor.
How to run in an aluminium cylinder?
Aluminium cylinders should be run in for about 200 kilometers , and you should use a fully synthetic engine oil.
