The Piaggio TPH is one of Piaggio's favorites, in fact it's the oldest modern scooter built with Piaggio's automatic transmission. The TPH (short for Typhoon) was sold in France, Italy and Spain under the name Gilera Typhoon, Gilera being a Piaggio subsidiary. Initially, only two-stroke engines were used, today the 125 cm³ version is equipped with a powerful four-stroke engine. Whether as a 50cc automatic scooter or a 125cc maxi-scooter, the agile and lively TPH / Typhoon is the perfect two-wheeler for city traffic. In the tuning scene, the Typhoon is also being snapped up to transform rather modest street scooters into true racers.
