The purpose of a washer cover
The air filter cover makes it possible to close the intake tightly when washing the motorcycle. Of course, you have to remove the air filter to fit the cover in its place. Then you can wash the motorcycle without having to worry about dirt getting into the carburetor or the intake throttle valve - even with a high-pressure cleaner!
what are the benefits of open air filters?
Pod air filters are installed in place of the original air filter box of scooters, motorcycles or even mopeds to increase the air flow and thus improve performance and cooling of the engine.
However, using an open pod filter can make the vehicle louder, leads to slightly worse fuel economy, and it is possible that water gets into the engine during heavy rain. But what the heck - open air filters just sound great!
