Tires are an essential part of a motorcycle, scooter or moped. The choice of tire has an impact on handling, grip, fuel consumption, but most importantly, the right tire ensures onroad and offroad safety.
Check the condition of your tires
It is therefore important to replace the tires of your two-wheeler when the tread approaches the tire wear indicator (the small ridges in the grooves of the tread) or you notice damage such as cracks or deformations on the sidewalls of the tire. To check the condition of a tire, simply run your finger along the grooves at the front and rear. In the middle of the grooves there is a tire wear indicator on the tread (approx. 1/2 cm long notch). If the surface of the tire is at the level of the wear indicator, the tires must be replaced.
Scooter tires
Scooter tires are usually slightly smaller than motorcycle tires and are designed to offer very good stability and optimum riding comfort on the road.
Motorcycle tires
There is a variety of sizes and profiles of motorcycle tires, each designed for riding style, weather conditions and type of terrain. The tires for a motocross bike differ significantly from the tires for a classic street bike.
Moped tires
Moped tires are often smaller and narrower than scooter and motorcycle tires, but still offer secure grip and reliable durability.
When choosing a new tire, you must stick to the size of the original tire and then choose the right tire for the intended use. Don't forget to replace the inner tube, rim tape and tire valve if necessary.
