Stage6 Clutch Racing Torque Control MK2 d=112mm China 2-stroke / CPI / Generic - redesigned and improved version of Stage6's famous clutch, successfully used in the Stage6 Cup in Italy for a long time, and drag racing fans all over Europe are crazy about it.
Stage6 optimized their clutch for use with powerful cylinders (like the Stage6 R/T), for drag and circuit racing alike. The back plate is reinforced, the linings were enlarged and the weight of the clutch shoes was increased. Weights can be added to these shoes to hold off clutch engagement even more. These are now slip-in weights, not screw-on like before.
This is the only clutch on the market where adjusting clutch engagement can be done without having to take the clutch off. The patented system allows for full and continuous adjustment, even the clutch bell can stay put. 3 continuously adjustable springs, marked to help you with the set-up, plus the 8-point weight correction on the back of the clutch shoes allow for plenty of adjustment options.
We recommend using white springs for sport cylinders; orange ones for midrace; and the optionally available red ones for high-end cylinders. We also carry Densomet weight sets for very highly tuned engines to increase the weight of the clutch shoes even more.

Torque Control is all about controlling torque and the transmission of power to the wheel. The Torque Control range from Stage6 consists of high-end clutches and clutch parts for 50cc scooters.

Scooter clutch
The clutch is essential for the smooth operation of the scooter's automatic CVT. It ensures that the engine power is transmitted to the rear wheel in a continuous and controlled manner.
How Does a scooter clutch work?
The clutch and clutch bell of the centrifugal clutch on scooters form a single unit. The clutch bell is attached to the input shaft of the engine. When the engine reaches a certain speed, the clutch shoes with linings are pulled outward by centrifugal force. Clutch and bell come into contact, they engage so power can be transmitted from the engine to the rear wheel.
How to adjust a Scooter clutch?
Scooters are centrifugal clutches, with increasing RPMs the centrifugal force leads to clutch engagement. The clutch springs play an important role in this process as they affect the engine speed at which the clutch engages, i.e. makes contact with the bell.
The clutch engages at a lower engine speed with soft springs, while hard springs delay clutch engagement. It is important to find the optimum compromise in terms of setup and intended use.
More precise settings can be done with an adjustable clutch, where the tension of the clutch springs can be adjusted.
