Silicone Sealant CAF 4 100g white
Description
CAF 4 high temperature silicone for engine and exhaust
White CAF 4 sealing paste for bonding and sealing mechanical parts, especially in areas with very high temperatures. CAF4 sealant remains fluid and allows you to take your time when assembling parts.
CAF4 is a one-component silicone elastomer that cures at room temperature. It is self-leveling, fast curing, has very good mechanical properties, good thermal stability and ensures good electrical insulation (dielectric).
If this product is not right for you, you will find a large selection of sealants on our website.
Advantages of CAF4:
- Easy processing due to adapted viscosity
- Good heat resistance
- Chemical resistance
- Non-stick properties
- Excellent ageing resistance
- Dielectric properties

Area of application CAF 4 sealing paste
Due to its properties as a flowable silicone elastomer that vulcanizes at room temperature and is mainly intended for various industrial purposes, CAF 4 remains a must for industrial applications such as bonding and sealing between materials of the same or different types.
CAF 4 sealant is mainly used for various industrial purposes, such as flexible bonding and sealing of materials, fabric conduction for non-stick and thermal protection, electrical insulation and protection of electronic components.
It can be used to bond plastics and EVC silicones, to coat cylinders, to coat fabrics to protect robot arms, to protect/insulate joints of electrical components, to repair seals on pipelines and for thermal insulation.
How is CAF 4 joint paste used?
CAF 4 joint paste is supplied ready for use and can be applied by hand or using suitable application equipment. It is recommended that the paste is applied to clean and dry surfaces.
To bond materials, one of the two parts should be glued together and the other then fitted as quickly as possible. After joining, do not load immediately as the curing time depends on the thickness of the material used.
Cross-linking can be accelerated by increasing the temperature to a maximum of 160 °C with dry heat.
Our recommendations for the effective use of CAF4:
- Ensures surfaces are clean and free of grease before application.
- Use a small amount of paste as a large amount is not necessary.
- Assemble the elements according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Use the assembled elements within 10 minutes after assembly
Sealing compound
As the name suggests, sealant is used to seal components. There are different brands, compositions, applications, colours and more or less heat-resistant type of sealant.
Liquid sealants and silicones are an absolute must-have for every workshop, but they are only really necessary in certain cases. Most of the time, they are first and foremost repair aids and do not replace a real repair job.
Therefore, it is usually better to use the intended special seals and gaskets, even if silicone and sealant well help to seal the parts.
Please note that sealants and silicones cannot be used everywhere! They, for example, cannot replace oil seals or O-rings.
