Joint compound CAF 1 red
Silicone Sealant CAF 1 100g red – for sealing and bonding between materials, especially in areas that are subject to high thermal stress / heat. The CAF1 paste remains liquid for a while, leaving some time to assemble and bond parts such as reed valve or exhaust. CAF1 has been specially developed for the assembly of tuning / racing engines.
CAF 1 is a one component silicone elastomer which cures at room temperature. It is self-levelling, quick-curing, has very good mechanical properties, good heat stability and provides excellent sealing and bonding.

Sealing compound
As the name suggests, sealant is used to seal components. There are different brands, compositions, applications, colours and more or less heat-resistant type of sealant.
Liquid sealants and silicones are an absolute must-have for every workshop, but they are only really necessary in certain cases. Most of the time, they are first and foremost repair aids and do not replace a real repair job.
Therefore, it is usually better to use the intended special seals and gaskets, even if silicone and sealant well help to seal the parts.
Please note that sealants and silicones cannot be used everywhere! They, for example, cannot replace oil seals or O-rings.
