PWK Carburetor 34 MotoForce Racing Neochrome
Description
PWK CARBURETOR 34 NEOCHROME FROM MOTOFORCE RACING
To improve the performance of your motorcycle, scooter or even moped, you should consider installing a bigger carburetor. This 2-stroke carburetor type PWK will get you excellent performance at a really fair price.
What is a PWK carburetor?
PWK carburetors are large diameter tuning carburetors that are mainly intended for racing. They are equipped with a fuel inlet, a chromed flat slide, a powerjet, a large float chamber and a lever choke.
In terms of performance, the carburetor offers improved throttle response and better filling at high rpm. This improves engine response and increases top speed.
The Neochrome version of the PWK carburetor from MotoForce Racing differs from the other versions in that it has a chrome-plated carburetor body with a PVD coating and Neochrome look. This means you can combine top performance with a great custom look!
Which carburetor size do I need?
It is very important to properly size your new PWK carburetor - not too big and not too small! If it is too small, the engine may overheat, and if it is too big, fuel consumption will be unnecessarily high and performance will be poor.
Here is a guideline:
- Carburetor PWK 21 mm (MJ 95, PJ 40, PowerJet 32) ==> 50 - 70 ccm Sport / Racing
- Carburetor PWK 24 mm (MJ 110, PJ 40, PowerJet 32) ==> 70 - 80 cc Sport / Racing
- Carburetor PWK 28 mm (MJ 130, PJ 40, PowerJet 32) ==> 70 - 80 cc Racing / High-End Racing
- Carburetor PWK 30 mm (MJ 136, PJ 40, PowerJet 32) ==> 80 - 90 cc High-End Racing
- Carburetor PWK 32 mm (MJ 142, PJ 40, PowerJet 32) ==> 80 - 90 cc High-End Racing
- Carburetor PWK 34 mm (MJ 142, PJ 45, PowerJet 32) ==> 90 - 100cc High-End Racing
Please note: When installing this type of carburetor, the original intake system can no longer be used, you need a larger intake manifold or a larger intake rubber with a diameter of 35 mm. In addition, the original throttle cable and the original air filter must be replaced by a filter with a diameter of 50 mm and the original fuel tap must be replaced by a model without vacuum.
Carburetor for scooters, motorcycles and mopeds
The smooth operation and optimum power output of your scooter, motorcycle or moped depends, among other things, on the carburetor, whose job is to create the right mixture of air and gasoline.
How the carburetor works
When the rider operates the throttle, the carburetor slide moves upwards, increasing the air flow that is sucked in through the air filter. The carburetor then mixes this air with petrol, creating a combustible mixture. This mixture is fed into the cylinder through the intake manifold and the reed valve.
The carburetor is equipped with jets to adjust the ratio of fuel and air and thus ensure an optimum air-fuel ratio. It is important that you adjust the carburetor settings to the setup of your engine.
Adjusting the Carburetor
Proper carburetor adjustment is critical for optimal engine operation and durability. Depending on the type of air filter, cylinder and exhaust of your setup, you will need to readjust main and pilot jets. To check the correct operation of the carburetor, you can refer to the color of the spark plug:
- White spark plug = too lean
- Black spark plug = too rich
- Brown spark plug = optimal setting
