Description
Bidalot Inner rotor ignition Racing Factory Derbi
The ignition is based on the well-known PVL ignitions (just like the Stage6 ignitions). Bidalot have of course programmed their own ignition curves specifically designed for their own Racing cylinders. However, the ignition can also be used with other cylinders.
As usual with PVL Racing ignitions, there is no light function.
By the way, the rotor markings are all checked and reground if necessary before being shipped by Bidalot.

Bidalot Racing Factory
Bidalot has been known for 50cc tuning and racing components for several decades. The Racing Factory series (RF WR) includes Bidalot's high-end products and is the brand's most powerful series to date.
The series is available for various displacement classes. The Racing Factory products go to the absolute performance limit in all categories.
Racing Factory range
You can equip your bike completely with Bidalot Racing Factory parts and build yourself a high-end racer. Here is a list with Racing Factory parts:
- Cylinder Bidalot RF WR 50cc to 96cc
- Crankshaft Bidalot RF
- Bidalot RF internal rotor ignition
- Clutch Bidalot RF
- Exhaust Bidalot RF
- Gearbox Bidalot RF
- Spare parts Bidalot RF (gaskets, pistons, clutch plates...)
Of course, you need a bit of know-how to install the racing parts correctly and adjust them to yield maximum power.
To get the full potential out of your engine, we recommend buying a high-quality carburetor with the right diameter for the selected displacement.
Also remember to adapt the chassis to the increased engine power, e.g. with improved brakes and suspension.
Inner Rotor Ignition
An internal rotor ignition is a racing ignition designed to increase performance. Inner rotor ignitions are designed for motorsports and competition, in rare cases they also provide power for vehicle lighting. (e.g. the MVT ignition).
Advantages of an internal rotor ignition
Inner rotor ignitions are the ultimate choice for the race track, they are however not really suitable for street use.
The compact and lightweight internal rotor puts less weight on the crankshaft and allows for quick revving, very high engine speeds and an enormous power increase at high rpm.
Another advantage is that this type of ignition is less susceptible to moisture than standard ignitions.
Tip: You may want to consider a tuning ignition cover with additional holes / cutouts to improve ventilation.
Disadvantages of an internal rotor ignition
RPMs increase faster due to the lower mass, this will affect torque at low RPMs, though. Therefore, internal rotor ignitions are only worthwhile for racing, because on the racetrack you'll constantly stay at high engine speeds.
Installing and adjusting an internal rotor ignition
Installing an internal rotor ignition requires technical knowledge and careful adjustments to keep the engine running optimally and really optimize performance. We recommend our tutorial to learn how to install and adjust an internal rotor ignition.
