Advantages of anti-vibration bar ends

• By placing two equal masses on both sides of the handlebar, you give the handlebar, steering column and wheel unit more inertia in relation to the axis of the steering column. This increases the energy required to cause this unit to vibrate or oscillate and stabilizes the entire motorcycle or scooter.

Disadvantages of handlebar weights

• However, there is a disadvantage to using handlebar ends: you have to cut open the "closed" end of the throttle grip. This means that dirt can get between the grip and handlebar more easily and get stuck there, which can affect the rotation of the throttle.
