Description

Since its inception, Stage6 are committed to develop performance-enhancing tuning parts and don't shy away from tackling new tasks. As of now, they are getting into the market for 50cc bikes by introducing the Stage6 Cylinder Kit Big Racing 77cc for Derbi Euro 3.

The cylinder kit includes:

  • 77cc cylinder, aluminium, 50mm bore, with 5 transfer ports and 32mm bridged exhaust port
  • 1-ring Vertex piston, d. 50mm
  • high compression cylinder head, monobloc, aluminium
  • gasket set (base and head gaskets)

The cylinder was developed in close cooperation with the MXS Racing experts; by benefitting from their considerable experience of 50cc bikes and drawing from their own extensive technical know-how, Stage6 was able to design a thoroughly convincing new tuning cylinder.

The cylinder features a rather basic and inconspicuous exterior, but we all know that appearances can be deceptive. We're talking genuine ""Big Bore"" here – cylinder layout is not based on a modified standard model that was milled open to create a bigger bore, but was designed as a Big Bore right from the start, with matching transfer ports and a bridged exhaust port big enough to support the excess performance.

The BigRacing cylinders impress with ease of installationoutstanding performance, and high reliability.   

- Installation is very easy, crankcase milling or any other modification are not necessary. Squish clearance is pre-set to a value optimized for the respective engine type. 
- In terms of output, the BigRacing cylinders knock it out of the ballpark: we measured a whopping 23 PS and 13 Nm on our P4 test bench using a standard set-up (24mm carburetor, original ignition, racing exhaust etc.). 
- Port timings are relatively low, cooling system volume is quite large and the piston is a top quality Vertex piston. All of these factors contribute to the cylinder's high dependability and robustness, provided that set-up and adjustments are appropriate. 

Displacement is 77cc (50mm piston) and is accordingly not street-legal (in many countries). We strongly recommend a reinforced crankshaft with standard stroke.

The exterior is a replica of the original cylinder with a 49cc stamp; don't worry, this is definitely a 77cc cylinder!

Note: we recommend to use ""long"" cylinder head nuts to achieve correct torque when tightening the bolts.

Stage6 BigRacing cylinder

The Big Racing cylinders are extremely powerful cylinders for 50cc supermotos. Although they are very powerful high-end cylinders, they offer a good balance of performance and reliability for intensive, regular, even daily use.

The aluminium cylinders have a displacement of 77 to 88 cc (with the corresponding crankshaft ) and were mainly developed for 50cc motorcycles with Derbi and AM6 engine, e.g. Rieju MRT, Beta RR or Sherco.

In combination with a suitable exhaust, a complete intake system and a suitable gearbox, the BigRacing can achieve maximum power with maximum torque and increased top speed.

The Stage6 R/T series delivers even more power, with uncompromising performance for use on the race track.

How to Install a cylinder on a scooter, motorcycle or moped

The cylinder or cylinder kit is the heart of the engine on scooters, motorcycles and mopeds. It consists of a cylinder, a piston with piston ring(s), a cylinder head and gaskets needed for installation.

The service life of a cylinder depends on whether it has been fitted correctly.

Tuning Level: High End racing

We categorize our products into different performance levels  Original, Sport, Racing and High End , so that our customers can choose the right parts for their setup. It is really important to combine parts that belong to the same tuning level, this is especially true for cylinders, crankshafts and exhausts.

High End Racing products are exclusively designed for racing and should only be handled by tuning pros with the appropriate technical know-how. High-end racing parts often require modifications or machining of certain elements to accommodate the often larger components (larger crank webs, larger intake, etc.). Whether you stick with 50cc or increase the displacement, high-end racing parts offer much higher performance than the original parts and are the most powerful tuning parts.

Note: To ensure the reliability of the engine, it is important that the parts are compatible and that you do regular maintenance on your two-wheeler.

    Aluminium cylinders

    Aluminium cylinders are more powerful than cast iron cylinders, but require more regular maintenance and must be combined with different components such as a reinforced crankshaft and a larger carburetor.

    How to run in an aluminium cylinder?

    Aluminium cylinders should be run in for about 200 kilometers , and you should use a fully synthetic engine oil.

    Note: To ensure optimum performance and reliability, it is advisable to measure the squish clearance. Just have a look at our tutorial How to adjust squish clearance.

    One of the best
    This is one of the best cylinder kits if you don't want to go with a 100cc 2fast or something very high-end. My 2006 Derbi Senda flew on the back wheel with no help from the clutch in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear! I'm running it with a 21mm Karb and Voca racing crankshaft, and I get about 120 km/h top speed with 12/50 gearing.

    77 stage6 bigracing
    Mon 77 stage6 bigracing a au moins 10000 kilomètre avec le même cylindre, piston et segmentation, il est très important de laisser un bon temps de chauffe avant de jouer avec, personnellement j’ai mis un conteur de température koso et j’attend toujours d’être au moins à 40 degrés avant de tirer dedans, il faut aussi éviter de faire monter des personne derrière sois car personnellement mon piston a pris des coup de chaud quand j’ai fais monter des personne derrière et je tiens à préciser que je passe toujours mes rapport à saturation.

    Après 1 an et 1 segmentation et 3pochette de joints le cylindre roule toujours et même aussi bien que quand je l'ai eu le cylindre a eu 2 temps de chauffe et un rodage de 280km et des brouettes vraiment je recommande il est super je pense que je fait un piston et il fait 1ans de plus avec un petit coup d'alesoir

    Est-ce- qu’il y a des modifications à faire au niveau des carter ou c’est plug & play comme écrit ? Parce que sur le pack avec le vilo ref : S6-7019310/PACK1 y’a marqué qu’il faut faire quelques fraisages simples du carter moteur donc j’suis un peu perdu mdrrr

    77 st6 euro3, carbu 24 , yasuni hm, allumage origine ,entrainement en 14*53, , mon pot n est pas le plus performant pour ce kit a bas regime mais il se devellope a fond en haut regime belle pointe a plus de 125, je fais surtout de la route, et agreable en all day, un cylindre tres fiable et simple a installer, merci mxs et stage6
