Description

82cc Racing cylinder kit PARMAKIT with cylinder head for MBK 51 / Motobecane AV10

The PARMAKIT aluminum cylinder kit 82cc Ø50mm for MBK 51 and Motobecane AV10 is an impressive upgrade for ambitious tuners and racers. With a displacement of 82.07cc (expandable to 90cc with a long-stroke crankshaft), this kit offers outstanding performance and a strong basis for tuning projects.

The ultimate upgrade for your moped

This kit is pretty much the maximum you can get out of MBK 51 or Motobecane AV10 engines. Thanks to PARMAKIT's technical know-how, the cylinder kit impresses with its high quality, maximum performance and extreme precision. The cylinder is supplied with a cylinder head with high compression.

Parmakit moped cylinder - high-quality construction and strong performance

The aluminum cylinder is nikasil-coated and has six intake ports and an oval exhaust. With timing of 173°/122°/120°, the cylinder achieves speeds of around 10,000 rpm without further tuning and 11,500 rpm with optimized components, without compromising on reliability and durability.

The cylinder is equipped with a high-quality 1-ring piston from VERTEX. With side grease nipples and a lightweight design, the piston contributes to a top torque that sets this kit apart from others.

To exploit the full potential of this cylinder kit, we recommend an electronic ignition, a racing crankshaft, a carburetor with at least24 mm diameter, a sports exhaust and a sports variator.

Fitting instructions Parmakit racing cylinder MBK moped

To fit the cylinder, the engine housing must be machined. You should also check the compression ratio before first use. A compression ratio of more than 12.5:1 can lead to damage - therefore ensure a volume of at least 7 ml without spark plug thread.

How to Install a cylinder on a scooter, motorcycle or moped

The cylinder or cylinder kit is the heart of the engine on scooters, motorcycles and mopeds. It consists of a cylinder, a piston with piston ring(s), a cylinder head and gaskets needed for installation.

The service life of a cylinder depends on whether it has been fitted correctly.

Tuning Level: Sport

We categorize our products into different performance levels  Original, Sport, Racing and High End , so that our customers can choose the right parts for their setup. It is really important to combine parts that belong to the same tuning level, this is especially true for cylinders, crankshafts and exhausts.

The products listed under Sport yield better performance than Original parts. They may have technical differences, such as the use of higher quality materials, a larger displacement or a performance-enhancing design. They are suitable for everyday use and have a long service life.

Aluminium cylinders

Aluminium cylinders are more powerful than cast iron cylinders, but require more regular maintenance and must be combined with different components such as a reinforced crankshaft and a larger carburetor.

How to run in an aluminium cylinder?

Aluminium cylinders should be run in for about 200 kilometers , and you should use a fully synthetic engine oil.

Note: To ensure optimum performance and reliability, it is advisable to measure the squish clearance. Just have a look at our tutorial How to adjust squish clearance.
