ATHENA 70cc cylinder kit - features at a glance
This cylinder is made of nickel silver-treated aluminum and equipped with a Vertex piston with 1 piston ring. The cylinder head is not included, but can be used with the original head. Every detail is designed to maximize engine performance.
For optimum performance, a 17.5 to 21 mm carburetor and a sports exhaust are recommended.
Attention: Not approved for road use.

Zündapp 50cc 4M /5M / FALCONET 604 / GRECIA / PORTOGALLO 283 / RACING.
Attention! The head and base gaskets included in the kit are specially developed for ATHENA cylinders. If the kit is dismantled, they must be replaced with Athena cylinder gaskets.

Aluminium cylinders
Aluminium cylinders are more powerful than cast iron cylinders, but require more regular maintenance and must be combined with different components such as a reinforced crankshaft and a larger carburetor.
How to run in an aluminium cylinder?
Aluminium cylinders should be run in for about 200 kilometers , and you should use a fully synthetic engine oil.
Note: To ensure optimum performance and reliability, it is advisable to measure the squish clearance. Just have a look at our tutorial How to adjust squish clearance.
