The ATHENA 50cc cylinder kit is the ideal choice to get Zündapp motorcycles up to speed while ensuring reliability and efficiency. Perfectly tuned for Zündapp 4M, 5M, Falconet, Racing and many other models.
ATHENA 50cc cylinder kit at a glance
This cylinder is made of nickel-silver-treated aluminum and equipped with a vertex piston with 1 piston ring segment. The cylinder head is not included, the cylinder can be used with the original head.
Every detail is designed to maximize engine performance. Less stress on the crankshaft and proven 50cc displacement performance, ideal for riders who prioritize durability over maximum power.
For optimum performance, we recommend a 17.5 to 21 mm carburetor and a sports exhaust.

Attention! The cylinder head and base gaskets included in the kit are specially designed for ATHENA cylinders. When reinstalling the cylinder, they must be replaced with original Athena gaskets.

Aluminium cylinders
Aluminium cylinders are more powerful than cast iron cylinders, but require more regular maintenance and must be combined with different components such as a reinforced crankshaft and a larger carburetor.
How to run in an aluminium cylinder?
Aluminium cylinders should be run in for about 200 kilometers , and you should use a fully synthetic engine oil.
Note: To ensure optimum performance and reliability, it is advisable to measure the squish clearance. Just have a look at our tutorial How to adjust squish clearance.
