Athena cylinder for puch maxi: High-quality components
The kit comes complete with a high-quality 1-ring piston, gaskets and all the necessary components for a quick and safe installation. It also includes a tuning reed valve and an intake manifold for 19mm or 21mm PHBG carburetors to further optimize performance.
To improve the performance of this cylinder, we recommend using it with a 19mm or 21mm PHBG carburetor, a racing exhaust and 100% synthetic oil.

Note: The head and base gaskets supplied are specially designed for ATHENA kits. When removing and refitting the cylinder, please use the original gasket set to ensure optimum sealing.

Aluminium cylinders
Aluminium cylinders are more powerful than cast iron cylinders, but require more regular maintenance and must be combined with different components such as a reinforced crankshaft and a larger carburetor.
How to run in an aluminium cylinder?
Aluminium cylinders should be run in for about 200 kilometers , and you should use a fully synthetic engine oil.
Note: To ensure optimum performance and reliability, it is advisable to measure the squish clearance. Just have a look at our tutorial How to adjust squish clearance.
