Motoforce Racing offers a new and improved version of the popular PWK carburetor type. It features a sleek matte grey finish, orange anodized quick-release clamps for the float chamber and throttle slide, as well as a polished intake tract. These features allow for quick access to the main jet, needle jet, and throttle slide, while ensuring smooth, turbulence-free airflow.

What is a PWK racing carburetor?

PWK carburetors are high-performance carburettors known for their superior performance and ease of tuning. The idle, partial load, and full load ranges are extremely well-separated, providing a clean fuel-air mix. These carburetors perform excellently even with standard setups, and changing the needle or emulsion tube is usually unnecessary, unlike some competing (Italian) products that offer a wide variety of needles and tubes.

For those looking for more tuning options, the mixture can be enriched at full load using a Powerjet, which adds more power in the highest RPM range. This feature can also be deactivated if not required.

PWK Carburetor Dimensions

Since PWK carburetors were designed for off-road use, they are significantly larger than standard scooter or moped carbs. This means that larger intake systems and air filters with bigger connection diameters must be installed. Ensure that there is enough space available. The external dimensions of all PWK carburetors are nearly identical, though the intake manifold and air filter connection sizes vary depending on the carburetor's size. All parts, including jets, needles, and adjustment screws, are compatible across the entire PWK range.

Which Carburetor Size Do I Need?

For 70cc setups, ranging from sport to racing, we recommend the 24mm PWK carburetor, which typically provides excellent performance. Smaller PWK carburetors are best suited for 50cc setups. For 70cc to 80cc high-end setups, the 28mm PWK carburetor is ideal. For 80cc to 100cc setups, the 30mm to 34mm PWK carburetors are a perfect fit.

WHich carburetor size do I need?

It is very important to properly size your new PWK carburetor - not too big and not too small! If it is too small, the engine may overheat, and if it is too big, fuel consumption will be unnecessarily high and the performance will not be appropriate.

Please note:

1. When installing this type of carburetor, the original intake system can no longer be used, you will need a larger intake manifold / larger intake rubber with a diameter of 35 mm or 40 mm; in addition, you'll have to replace the original throttle cable, original air filter and the original fuel tap against a model without vaccum port. This carburetor has no oil connection and must be operated with pre-mixed fuel.
2. The body of this PWK carburetor with screw-on cover is slightly larger than other PWK models, so it uses a smaller choke. If you have difficulties with handling, we recommend to change to cable choke. You will need a cable choke adapter (for PWK) and a choke button.
