Description
Original spare part by Dell'Orto: Dell'Orto Carburetor Slide , type 2696. The carburetor slide is connected to the throttle cable. The small parts of a carburetor are easily lost or get otherwise damaged and / or worn down. We carry all spare parts for the Dell'Orto carburetor models commonly used in scooters, mopeds, offroad bikes, supermoto, maxi scooters, quads etc.
Throttle slide
The slide is an important part of the carburetor because it controls the amount of air (or mixture) that enters the engine.
When the throttle grip is turned, you pull the throttle cable, which in turn pulls on the throttle slide to raise it and open the passage.
The shape and thickness of the slide has no real effect on engine performance. However, a carburetor with a throttle slide will result in a livelier engine character at low rpm.
So when adjusting the carburetor, you should focus more on the jets and needles.
