Brake Caliper 4-piston MotoForce Racing orange
Description
4-piston radial caliper
Universal 4-piston radial brake caliper from Motoforce Racing.
Design and advantages of a 4-piston caliper
The CNC aluminium caliper is available with different anodized finishings, so you can improve braking power and bring a little custom look to the wheel. As with all tuning parts from Motoforce Racing, the focus is on enhancing performance at reasonable prices, in this case maximum brake performance for scooter, motorcycle and moped.
The caliper has 4 pistons with 25 mm diameter and thus offers a much better stopping power, better brake modulation and a much more precise brake point than a standard caliper. You can of course use the brake caliper with the original brake pump, but we recommend installing a Motoforce Racing Radial brake cylinder to further optimize the braking system.
As a next step, you can improve the braking performance by using Stage6 R/T brake pads that are specifically designed for the RPM, Stage6 MK1, Voca Racing and many other similar caliper models.
How to install a 4-piston caliper
You should keep in mind that installing a 4-piston caliper on mopeds or 50cc motorcycles can sometimes entail additional modifications. In most cases you will have to build a caliper adapter yourself to adapt the caliper to the front or rear brake. For scooters there are various Stage6 adapters to facilitate this adaptation.
Note: We recommend changing the brake fluid and bleeding the brake system when installing a new caliper.

Brake caliper
The brake caliper is an important part of the braking system. The brake pads are located in the caliper and are "clamped" by the caliper piston. The piston is driven by the brake fluid and presses the brake pads against the brake disc.
The brake caliper must always be in good condition and must not leak. If you want to repair the caliper on a small budget, you can use one of the many caliper repair kits from major brands like Brembo, AJP, Nissin, etc.
Racing caliper
After tuning measures, where the performance of a motorcycle is increased, the brakes must also be readjusted. You can install oversize kits instead of the original brake discs, or use racing calipers with multiple or larger pistons. Some tuning calipers are made of materials that allow better heat dissipation.
Especially for enduro and motocross bikes, there are various caliper upgrade kits. There are also complete brake kits with brake disc, brake pads, caliper, brake line and brake master cylinder.
For 50cc scooters and motorcycles, we offer 2-piston calipers that considerably improve braking performance. Most calipers are universal and are adapted to a specific vehicle via a brake caliper adapter.
Changing a brake caliper
To install a brake caliper, you need relatively few tools. However, you should make sure that the copper washers on the banjo bolt that holds the brake hose are in perfect condition so that no fluid can leak out.
You'll also need new brake fluid, as you'll need to bleed the brake system. You must remove all air bubbles from the system; you can bleed manually or with a special brake bleeder.
