Air filter care
Motocross air filters should be properly cleaned and maintained. We recommend the following steps:
* 1: Remove the dirty air filter
*2: Clean the air filter box and make sure that no dirt has fallen behind the filter
*3: Separate the air filter from the holder
*4: Clean the filter with a special air filter cleaner (do not use fuel!)
*5: Clean the air filter holder
*6: Once the filter is completely dry, oil it with a special air filter oil
*7: Replace the air filter in the holder
*8: Apply multi-purpose grease to the edge of the filter (to the area that sits on the airbox to seal the filter optimally)
*9: Refit the filter in the air filter box
*10: Go!

what are the benefits of open air filters?
Pod air filters are installed in place of the original air filter box of scooters, motorcycles or even mopeds to increase the air flow and thus improve performance and cooling of the engine.
However, using an open pod filter can make the vehicle louder, leads to slightly worse fuel economy, and it is possible that water gets into the engine during heavy rain. But what the heck - open air filters just sound great!
Just as with original air filter inserts, it is important to clean the air filter regularly with air filter cleaner.
Note: When installing an open sport air filter, the carburetor must be readjusted, i.e. in most cases the jet has to be changed.
