Air filters have to be changed on a regular basis as dirty air filters lead to reduced engine power and poor fuel economy. The Malossi Air Filter E18 is an cone-shaped oiled cotton air filter (K&N type). It provides excellent filtration and improved air flow. In addition, protection against water and life expectancy is much higher than with standard air filters.
The filter can be used with most carburetor models on the market.

what are the benefits of open air filters?
Pod air filters are installed in place of the original air filter box of scooters, motorcycles or even mopeds to increase the air flow and thus improve performance and cooling of the engine.
However, using an open pod filter can make the vehicle louder, leads to slightly worse fuel economy, and it is possible that water gets into the engine during heavy rain. But what the heck - open air filters just sound great!
Just as with original air filter inserts, it is important to clean the air filter regularly with air filter cleaner.
Note: When installing an open sport air filter, the carburetor must be readjusted, i.e. in most cases the jet has to be changed.
