Contaminated air filters have a negative effect on engine performance and increase fuel consumption. They should therefore be replaced approximately every 2,000 kilometers.
Advantages of Red Sponge air filter foam
The Malossi Red Sponge air filter inserts consist of 2 layers. The individual layers have different permeabilities (45 and 60 ppi - pores per inch) and together they ensure excellent filtration. At the same time, the air flow is not obstructed so that the carburetor is supplied with sufficient fresh air.
These are cut-to-size sheets from which you can cut your air filter insert to fit.

Malossi Red Sponge
The Malossi Red Sponge air filters are air filter foam inserts for the original air filter boxes of 50cc scooters and motorcycles. They have the shape of the original foam filter, but are made of a higher quality foam with high filter performance and increased air flow.
To improve the air intake, you can also use double layer foam or even a bell mouth.

How to replace the air filter foam insert
- Remove the cover of the air filter box
- Remove the filter, clean the air box thoroughly
- Clean or replace the air filter element if it is too worn out
