This air filter fits all "Dell'Orto" carburetors from 14 mm to 21 mm (carburetor connection width: 28 to 35 mm).
Maximizing performance with open air filters
An "open" pod air filter brings a much larger amount of air into the engine, which can significantly increase performance.
CAUTION: More air means a leaner mixture, so you must increase the size of the main jet to compensate for the air intake!
If you want to improve filtration without changing the carburetor settings, we recommend using a double layer air filter insert for standard air filter boxes.
what are the benefits of open air filters?
Pod air filters are installed in place of the original air filter box of scooters, motorcycles or even mopeds to increase the air flow and thus improve performance and cooling of the engine.
However, using an open pod filter can make the vehicle louder, leads to slightly worse fuel economy, and it is possible that water gets into the engine during heavy rain. But what the heck - open air filters just sound great!
Just as with original air filter inserts, it is important to clean the air filter regularly with air filter cleaner.
Note: When installing an open sport air filter, the carburetor must be readjusted, i.e. in most cases the jet has to be changed.
