crankshaft - the heart of the engine

The crankshaft is one of the most important parts in any engine and must withstand heavy loads. The crankshaft converts the up and down motion of the piston into a rotary motion, which is subsequently transmitted to the gearbox. The main components of a crankshaft are journals, webs, pin and connecting rod. Crankshafts can differ in many characteristics - size of the crank webs, full circle crankshaft or advance crankshaft, connecting rod length, journal diameter, crankpin diameter, etc. ...

From Motoforce there are e.g. OEM quality crankshafts, which are basically identical to the original crankshaft, from Stage6 we carry e.g. the HPC Team Replica with 85mm connecting rod for 12mm piston pin, for extreme tuning projects there are high end racing crankshafts like the famous 2Fast with 44mm stroke and 90mm connecting rod which can withstand up to 20,000 rpm.
